A slamlock is a device that automatically locks the vehicle door immediately when it is shut, without requiring any operation by the driver.

It is primarily designed for applications such as multi drop delivery, high value loads and applications where the owner/ operator requires control over the security of their goods. It is the function that appeals as much as the security.

Our slamlocks integrate with the vehicle manufacturer's locking systems. This provides maximum security along with straightforward installation. They combine a genuine Security Slam operation with a high visual deterrent and a pleasing appearance.

All our slamlock kits are designed with escape from locked load areas, via the manufacturer's own internal exit mechanism in mind. This is an extremely important feature as it ensures compliance with Health & Safety at work and Corporate Manslaughter legislation.

Our kits are vehicle door specific and contain all the required fixtures, fittings and instructions to enable a technician to perform a cost effective professional installation.

They are available in both our S-series and Thatcham accredited T-Series models.

Installation

Level of fitting competence required: 8 out of 10 (should be left to the professionals!)

Installation normally takes around one hour per door. Stages involved include removing the inside door trim, marking the centre point of the cylinder position using the measurements supplied, drilling a pilot hole and then opening up with a cone cutter or cylinder aperture cutting tool. Once the hole is cut to size insert the cylinder assembly into the door in the following order (from the outside) cylinder,bezel and gasket. Fit  the internal shield inside the door aperture, then fit and tighten the 30mm cylinder nut. Disengage the manufacturer's lock mechanism cable and connect it to the slamlock cylinder.
